Rupert joined the Empugrium team in August 2015, he has come to us bred from the fabulous Rhodenash kennel.
Rupert is out of champion parentage, and has been carefully chosen to become a part of our line. His temperament is second to none and he is a delight to live with. He enjoys his country walks more than any dog I’ve owned!
Rupert is currently being shown and has proven himself a little star so far with some impressive championship and open show wins. His success has seen him gain 2 Challenge Certificates and a Reserve Challenge Certificate in 2017, we are hopeful he soon gains his Champion title. Rupert also gained his Junior Warrant title at 12 months old – Crufts qualifying him for life. He is currently working towards his ShCM.

‘McFarlane’s Rhodenash Kotten Kane at Empugrium this was an easy class to judge, this boy stood out from the rest. Such a smart lad, short cobby body giving such a well balanced overall look. Very pleasing mature head, with good dark pigment, good workings. Lovely dark eyes, good width of jaw. Good reach of neck into well balanced shoulders, leading into a straight topline. Strong, solid front with enough bone to carry body well, well balanced hindquarters. Nice twist to tail. Very much at one with his handler. Very pleased to award RBD & then for him to go RBIS under referee Mrs Adele Nicholson’
